The Standard Whip Finish Tool is a great value, low cost tool for fly tying and securely finishes off your fly pattern. This tool is used when you have reached the final step of creating your fly. All you have to do is use this tool to tie a knot in the thread to secure your fly pattern in place. Once you have completed your fly pattern, your bobbin thread will be left hanging and now you will need to make a knot to securely finish your pattern. Instead of using your fingers, which can be tricky, you can use this tool to whip the thread around your fly to form a neat and knotted head.
